I’ve been a member of Hospitality Club since April 2004. I had over 100 positive comments and left about the same number of comments. Then I received this, out of the blue, after not even having logged in for about a month:
Hospitality Club: termination of your membership
Hello grappig,
you seriously abused our rules as outlined on http://rules.hospitalityclub.org, therefore we had to terminate your membership to protect other members and our network.
Greetings,

Respect is earned. And after the cscnz a lot of people (wont throw names active bs users can dredge out all the threads).People started to be disrectful . Personal attacks comments like “Quit whineing”,”Quit Complaining”,”Pirates”,”them vs US”,”You are out to destroy couchsurfing,”Why dont your LEAVE?” started to fly .This hurt a lot of people . Why? The people throwing these comments where super nice in real life. There were PhD’s in communication who were extremely respectful in their post and they were ignored or treated at the bad guy.
Your post earned you the respect. And frankly you are a nice guy(Any one who knows you on cs chat knows that already). It is just some of your posts in the redefined gave an impression of the “us vs them” .
Who are you from chat? I don’t go there very often anymore. What’s your CS username?
It is the job of the Thought Police to uncover and punish thoughtcrime and thought-criminals, using psychology and omnipresent surveillance from telescreens to find and eliminate members of society who were capable of the mere thought of challenging ruling authority. The government attempts to control not only the speech and actions, but also the thoughts of its subjects, labeling unapproved thoughts with the term thoughtcrime, or, in Newspeak, crimethink.
